Helen Hughes
Speech & Language Therapist
Helen qualified as a Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) in 2007. Her first post was as a Community SLT working with children and adults across a range of different settings. Helen moved to the Child and Adolescent Mental Health service in 2016 and currently holds an Advanced Specialist SLT post within this service. Helen is passionate about the role of SLT within the multidisciplinary team, supporting the differential diagnosis of Autism, ADHD and other neurodevelopmental conditions including language disorders.
Outside of work, Helen is married and has three children. She re-charges her social battery through her hobbies which include swimming, cycling, baking and trying to grow things in her garden.
